Christine MacCallum

Portrait of the quilter and patchworker, Christine Macallum

Christine is a self-taught patchworker and quilter and what was a hobby has now turned into a passion. Having recently retired she is now able to devote more of her time to doing something she loves.

However, to make a full-sized bed quilt takes many hours of work and so Christine also works on smaller items such as cot quilts, bags, coasters and wall-hangings.

The scenery on Mull is quite spectacular, ideal for an artist or craftsperson to take inspiration from. Exhibition work is also something to which Christine aspires.
